By accessing or using Rampart ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Rampart provides automated security scanning and vulnerability assessment for web applications. The Service performs passive, non-intrusive checks on publicly accessible web configurations to identify potential security issues. For details on what our scans include, see our Scanning Policy.

3. User Responsibilities

By initiating a scan, you represent and warrant that:

• You are authorized to scan the target domain
• You own, operate, or have explicit written permission from the owner to scan the domain
• You will not use the Service to scan domains without proper authorization
• You will not use scan results to exploit, attack, or cause harm to any system

4. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Rampart, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of the Service
• Your scanning of any domain without proper authorization
• Your violation of these Terms
• Any third-party claims related to domains you scan using the Service

5. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. Rampart does not guarantee the completeness, accuracy, or reliability of scan results. Scan results are informational and do not constitute a comprehensive security audit or penetration test. Rampart shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to scan domains you do not own or have authorization to scan
• Attempt to exploit vulnerabilities identified by the Service
• Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
• Resell or redistribute scan results without permission
• Overwhelm or abuse the Service with excessive scan requests

7. Scan Data and Privacy

Scan results are associated with your account and stored securely. We do not share individual scan results with third parties. We may retain anonymized, aggregated data for service improvement.

8. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, including scanning domains without authorization or using results for malicious purposes.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
